First STYC meeting—Del Mar College, Corpus Christi

Eighteen students from eight high school from across South Texas. Each team brought public policy proposals.

They will work through each proposals and the end of the days they voted on three proposals 

CAAP—College Affordable for All People

• Stop rising cost of college tuition.

• Make college attendance affordable for all.

• An educated workforce attracts job creators.

SOL—Southern Opportunities for Law.

• High speed internet in South Texas.

• Retain talent in South Texas.

• Legal education in South Texas.

JumpStart

• College readiness classes in high school.

• Vocational training provided to high school students.

• Internships through partnership with local businesses.
